Summary

CVE-2023-26431 refers to a vulnerability where IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses were not recognized as local by the code, resulting in connection attempts being made. This issue could potentially allow attackers with user account access to bypass deny-list functionality and gain insights into network topology and running services. To mitigate this risk, the system now respects possible IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses when checking deny-lists. No publicly available exploits have been reported for this vulnerability.
