Summary
CVE-2023-26236 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability affecting WatchGuard EPDR 8.0.21.0002. The weakness lies in the message handling between EPDR processes, which can be exploited by sending a specially crafted message to a named pipe on a Windows system. Successful exploitation allows an attacker to escalate their privileges, potentially gaining administrative access to the affected system.
