Summary

CVE-2023-26151 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting versions of the package asyncua before 0.9.96. An attacker can exploit this DoS (Denial of Service) weakness by sending a malformed packet to the server. Once the server receives this malformed packet, it enters an infinite loop, resulting in excessive memory consumption and eventual denial of service. This issue poses a significant risk for servers that utilize the asyncua package, and it is recommended that users upgrade to a patched version as soon as possible.
