Summary

CVE-2023-26149 is a Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting versions of the package quill-mention prior to 4.0.0. The issue lies in the improper sanitization of user-input in the renderList function, enabling attackers to inject malicious scripts if the mentions list originates from unsafe sources. A successful attack could lead to a Quill user being exposed to potentially harmful code when they view or interact with the affected content.
