Summary

CVE-2023-25083 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the vtysh_ubus binary of Milesight UR32L v32.3.0.5. The issue stems from the use of an unsafe sprintf pattern, which can lead to arbitrary code execution when processing specially crafted HTTP requests. An attacker with high privileges can exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious HTTP requests to the affected device. Specifically, the buffer overflow occurs in the firewall_handler_set function, with the ip and mac variables being the potential triggers.
