Summary

CVE-2023-2495 is a vulnerability affecting the Greeklish-permalink WordPress plugin before version 3.3. This issue stems from insufficient authorization and nonce checks in the plugin's cyrtrans_ajax_old AJAX action. As a result, unauthenticated and low-privileged users are able to manipulate Post slugs by triggering the plugin's functionality, either directly or through Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. This poses a significant risk for unintended Post name modifications, leading to potential security breaches and content management confusion. Users are urged to update the plugin to its latest version to mitigate this vulnerability.
