Summary

CVE-2023-2437 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting versions of the UserPro plugin for WordPress up to and including 5.1.1. This issue arises due to insufficient verification during Facebook login, allowing unauthenticated attackers to assume the identity of any existing user, including administrators, if they manage to obtain the user's email address. The vulnerability may be chained with CVE-2023-2448 and CVE-2023-2446 to gain access to the necessary email addresses for successful exploitation. This security weakness poses a significant risk to WordPress sites running the UserPro plugin and urgently requires patching to mitigate the threat.
