Summary

CVE-2023-23764 is an incorrect comparison vulnerability identified in GitHub Enterprise Server. This issue allowed commit smuggling by displaying a misleading diff within the GitHub pull request UI. An attacker required write access to the repository to exploit this vulnerability. Affected versions included 3.7.0 and above, with fixes released in versions 3.7.9, 3.8.2, and 3.9.1. This vulnerability was reported through the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
