Summary

CVE-2023-23349 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting Kaspersky Password Manager (KPM) for Windows. This issue permits a local user to retrieve auto-filled credentials from a memory dump when the KPM extension for Google Chrome is utilized. For an attacker to exploit this vulnerability, they need to convince a user to visit a login page for a website with saved credentials, and the KPM extension must automatically fill in the credentials. Once this occurs, the attacker can deploy a malware module to pilfer those specific credentials.
