Summary

CVE-2023-22843 is a vulnerability affecting administrative users of certain appliances. An authenticated attacker can inject malicious JavaScript code into Threat Intelligence rules, allowing for unauthorized actions to be performed on behalf of legitimate users. This issue was found in Yara rules and, to a lesser extent, in packet and STYX rules. The injected code will be executed in the context of the victim's session.
