Summary

CVE-2023-22041 is a newly discovered vulnerability affecting various versions of Oracle Java SE and GraalVM Enterprise Edition, as well as GraalVM for JDK. This issue resides in the Hotspot component and can be exploited by unauthenticated attackers who have access to the affected infrastructure. Successful attacks may result in unauthorized access to critical data or even complete system takeover. This vulnerability primarily concerns Java deployments that run untrusted code, typically on client systems with Java Web Start applications or Java applets. Servers that only run trusted code are not affected. The Base Score according to CVSS 3.1 is 5.1 for Confidentiality impacts.
