Summary
CVE-2023-21625 is a newly identified information disclosure vulnerability affecting certain network services. The issue arises when these services encounter a buffer over-read condition upon receiving a DNS response. As a result, sensitive information may be inadvertently disclosed, posing a potential risk to system security. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by crafting a maliciously large DNS response, inducing the buffer over-read and extracting confidential data.
