Summary

CVE-2023-21418 is a path traversal vulnerability affecting the irissetup.cgi API in AXIS OS. Discovered by Sandro Poppi through the AXIS OS Bug Bounty Program, this issue permits file deletion after authentication with an operator- or administrator-privileged service account. The impact of exploitation is less severe with operator accounts, mainly affecting non-system files, but more significant with administrator privileges.
