Summary

CVE-2023-21179 is a vulnerability affecting the Android operating system on version 13. In the implementation of XmlUtil.java's parseSecurityParamsFromXml function, there is a weakness that allows for the bypass of user-specified wifi encryption protocols. This shortcoming in crypto usage can result in local privilege escalation, which does not necessitate any extra execution privileges or user interaction.
