Summary
CVE-2023-20583 is a newly disclosed power side-channel vulnerability affecting AMD processors. Authenticated attackers can exploit this flaw by monitoring CPU power consumption as data in a cache line changes. This may result in the leakage of sensitive information through power analysis techniques. The vulnerability does not require privileged access or specialized hardware, making it a significant concern for system security. AMD is currently investigating and working on mitigations for this issue.
