Summary

CVE-2023-20272 is a vulnerability affecting the web-based management interface of Cisco Identity Services Engine. This issue enables authenticated, remote attackers to upload malicious files to the web root of the application due to insufficient file input validation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by uploading a malicious file through the web interface, potentially replacing existing files and gaining access to sensitive server-side information. This could result in unauthorized access and potential data breaches.
