Summary

CVE-2023-20251 is a vulnerability affecting the memory buffer of Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) AireOS Software. This issue permits an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to induce memory leaks, leading to a potential denial of service (DoS) condition. The memory leaks are caused when multiple wireless clients connect to an access point under specific conditions. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by instructing multiple wireless clients to repeatedly connect to a targeted access point, which may eventually cause the affected device to reboot.
