Summary

CVE-2023-20245 is a logic error affecting the per-user-override feature in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated, remote attackers to bypass configured access control lists (ACLs) and access resources that should be protected. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by connecting to a network through an affected device with a susceptible configuration. Successful exploitation enables the attacker to bypass the interface ACL, potentially leading to unauthorized network access.
