CVE-2023-20214

Summary

CVE-2023-20214 is a vulnerability affecting the request authentication validation in the REST API of Cisco SD-WAN vManage software. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this insufficient request validation issue and gain read permissions or limited write permissions to the configuration of an affected Cisco SD-WAN vManage instance. The attacker can send a crafted API request to an affected vManage instance, resulting in potential information disclosure or configuration modification. Importantly, this vulnerability only impacts the REST API and does not affect the web-based management interface or the CLI.
