Summary

CVE-2023-1904 is a cybersecurity vulnerability affecting certain versions of Octopus Server. This issue allows the OpenID client secret to be logged in plain text during the server configuration process. An attacker who gains access to the logs could potentially obtain the secret and use it for unauthorized access to Octopus Server instances. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to organizations that have not yet updated to the patched version of Octopus Server. To mitigate this risk, it's recommended that organizations immediately update their Octopus Server instances to the latest version or configure logging to avoid storing sensitive data in plain text.
