Summary

CVE-2023-1401 is a vulnerability affecting GitLab DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) scanner versions 3.0.29 and earlier, up to 4.0.5. During the authorization process, the DAST scanner inadvertently leaks cross-site cookies upon redirect, posing a security risk. This issue could lead to serious data breaches or unauthorized actions within the affected GitLab environments. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to a patched version of the DAST scanner as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
