Summary

CVE-2022-46899 is a vulnerability affecting Vocera Report Server and Voice Server versions 5.x through 5.8. This issue involves Arbitrary File Upload, allowing attackers to upload files of their choice to the Vocera upload-staging directory. The BaseController class, which is used by all service controllers, is the source of this vulnerability. If an attacker sends a multipart/form-data POST request with a filename parameter, the server will write the contents of that parameter to a file with the specified name. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it enables attackers to potentially execute arbitrary code on the affected system.
