Summary

CVE-2022-4608 is a stack overflow vulnerability affecting certain versions of the RTU500 series product with HCI IEC 60870-5-104 function and configured support for IEC 62351-3. Following session resumption, an unexpected restart occurs when the RTU500 initiates an update of session parameters after the session resumption interval has elapsed. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could result in denial of service or potential unauthorized access to the affected system. It is recommended that users apply the available patch or upgrade to a non-vulnerable version to mitigate this risk.
