Summary

CVE-2022-29464 is a critical vulnerability affecting several WSO2 products, including WSO2 API Manager 2.2.0 to 4.0.0, WSO2 Identity Server 5.2.0 to 5.11.0 and its Analytics, Key Manager, and Enterprise Integrator versions, and WSO2 Open Banking AM and KM 1.4.0 to 2.0.0. This issue allows for unrestricted file uploads, resulting in remote code execution. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by utilizing a directory traversal sequence in the Content-Disposition header when interacting with the /fileupload endpoint, enabling them to access directories outside of the web root, such as ../../../../repository/deployment/server/webapps.
