Summary

CVE-2021-4421 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery vulnerability affecting the Advanced Popups plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.1.1 are impacted due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the metabox_popup_save() function. Attackers can exploit this flaw by tricking site administrators into executing a malicious request, allowing them to save meta tags without authentication. This poses a significant risk for unauthorized modifications to the WordPress site. Users are urged to update the plugin to the latest version as soon as possible to mitigate this vulnerability.
