Summary

CVE-2021-4416 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting versions up to 3.5.1 of the wp-mpdf plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the mpdf_admin_savepost() function, where nonce validation is either missing or incorrect. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to save post data on affected WordPress sites by deceiving administrators into executing a malicious request. The attacker can take advantage of this vulnerability by tricking an administrator into clicking on a specially crafted link, potentially leading to unintended data modifications or other malicious actions.
