Summary

CVE-2020-36750 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin used in WordPress versions up to 5.8.1. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by sending forged requests to unknowing administrators, who may be tricked into performing bulk image optimization actions. This vulnerability stems from the lack of proper nonce validation on the ewww_ngg_bulk_init() function. Ultimately, this security weakness exposes WordPress sites to potential image optimization attacks, without requiring authentication.
