Summary

CVE-2020-36743 is a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability affecting the Product Catalog Simple plugin for WordPress. Versions up to and including 1.5.13 are susceptible to this issue. The vulnerability arises due to improper nonce validation in the implecode_save_products_meta() function, enabling unauthenticated attackers to manipulate product meta data. Attackers can exploit this by tricking site administrators into performing an action, such as clicking on a malicious link, which in turn executes the forged request. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it allows attackers to bypass authentication checks and makes unauthorized modifications to product data.
