Summary
CVE-2001-0679 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting InterScan VirusWall versions 3.23 and 3.3. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending an excessively long HELO command to the server, resulting in the buffer overflow. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary code remotely. This vulnerability poses a serious risk to affected systems and requires immediate remediation.
