Summary

CVE-2000-0517 is a vulnerability affecting Netscape 4.73 and earlier versions. This issue allows remote attackers to bypass the browser's security measures by spoofing a legitimate website. The browser fails to adequately warn users about a potentially invalid certificate if the user has previously accepted it for a different website. This vulnerability could be exploited to compromise a site's DNS information, enabling unauthorized access or data theft.
