Summary
CVE-2000-0463 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting BeOS 5.0. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by sending fragmented TCP packets to the target system. The packets, when received, cause a memory allocation error, leading to a system crash. This can result in a denial-of-service condition, making the affected system unavailable to users until it is rebooted. System administrators should apply the available patch or upgrade to a newer version to mitigate this risk.
