Summary

CVE-2000-0459 is a vulnerability affecting Microsoft Internet Explorer Data Access Component (IMP). It arises due to IMP's failure to properly remove temporary files when the MSWordView application is terminated. An attacker can exploit this issue by requesting a large number of documents, causing the component to prematurely stop the request. The accumulation of these requests results in filling up the disk space and triggering a denial of service condition for local users.
