Summary
CVE-2000-0453 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting XFree86 versions 3.3.x and 4.0. A maliciously crafted TCP packet with a negative counter value can be sent to port 6000, causing the software to crash and become unresponsive. This issue may lead to network congestion or downtime if exploited by an attacker. Systems running these versions of XFree86 are at risk and should be updated to mitigate this vulnerability.
