Summary
CVE-2000-0412 is a vulnerability affecting the gnapster and knapster clients for Napster. This issue permits remote attackers to bypass the restricted access to MP3 files and read arbitrary files on the client's system. The vulnerability arises due to a failure in properly validating and restricting file access, allowing an attacker to specify the full pathname of any file they wish to access.
