Summary

CVE-2000-0409 is a vulnerability affecting Netscape 4.73 and earlier versions. Maliciously crafted certificate files can be used by local users to overwrite files in the Netscape browser during certificate import. This issue arises because the browser follows symbolic links while processing new certificates, providing an opportunity for attackers to manipulate the import process and potentially gain unauthorized access to sensitive data or system modifications.
