Summary
CVE-2000-0347 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Windows 95 and Windows 98 systems. An attacker can exploit this weakness by sending a maliciously crafted NetBIOS session request packet with a NULL source name. This packet causes the targeted system to become unresponsive and stop responding to network requests, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. The vulnerability poses a significant risk to networks where these operating systems are in use, and administrators are advised to apply available patches promptly to mitigate this threat.
