Summary
CVE-2000-0319 is a vulnerability affecting Sendmail 8.10.x versions. The mail.local component fails to recognize the proper delimiter for message endings, specifically the .\n string. As a result, an attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a message that is excessively long, up to 2047 characters, with the last character being .\n. The consequence is a denial-of-service attack or potential corruption of mailboxes.
