Summary
CVE-2000-0317 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Solaris 7's lpset utility. Maliciously crafted input passed through a long "-r" option can cause the buffer to overflow, allowing local users to gain root privileges. This issue poses a significant security risk, as it enables unauthorized escalation of user privileges within the system.
