Summary

CVE-2000-0226 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting IIS 4.0. Malicious actors can exploit this issue by submitting large buffer requests during POST or PUT commands, which in turn consume excessive memory. Consequently, the server becomes overwhelmed and unresponsive, resulting in a denial-of-service condition. This vulnerability, also known as the "Chunked Transfer Encoding Buffer Overflow," can be potentially exploited to crash the IIS 4.0 web server.
