Summary
CVE-2000-0075 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting the Super Mail Transfer Package (SMTP), later known as MsgCore. The issue stems from a memory leak in the SMTP server that allows malicious actors to overload the system by repeatedly sending HELO, MAIL FROM, RCPT TO, and DATA commands within the same session. This repetitive action results in excessive memory usage, ultimately causing the server to become unresponsive and deny legitimate email traffic.
