Summary

CVE-1999-1576 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the Adobe Acrobat ActiveX control (pdf.ocx, PDF.PdfCtrl.1) version 1.3.188, used in Acrobat Reader 4.0. This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by exploiting the pdf.setview method, resulting in a memory corruption and subsequent code injection. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to serious security risks, including unauthorized system access, data theft, or malware installation.
