Summary

CVE-1999-1492 is a vulnerability affecting IRIX 6.4 operating system. Two components, diskperf and diskalign, contain flaws that allow a local attacker to manipulate file creation processes. By exploiting these vulnerabilities, an attacker can create arbitrary root-owned files, effectively gaining root privileges.
