Summary
CVE-1999-1472 is a vulnerability affecting Internet Explorer 4.0. It enables remote attackers to read arbitrary text and HTML files on a user's machine through a crafted IFRAME utilizing Dynamic HTML (DHTML). The attacker can exploit this issue by sending data to their own server via the IFRAME, effectively gaining unauthorized access to the user's system. This vulnerability, also known as the Freiburg text-viewing issue, poses a significant threat to data privacy and security.
