Summary

CVE-1999-1289 refers to a vulnerability in ICQ 98 beta for Windows NT. This issue results in the leakage of a client's internal IP address during ICQ packet transmission. Instead of using the public IP address, the internal IP address is inadvertently included in the TCP data segment. This vulnerability can provide remote attackers with valuable information about the client or the internal network configuration, posing a potential security risk.
