Summary

CVE-1999-1284 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting NukeNabber. An attacker can cause a CPU overload on the targeted system by connecting to the NukeNabber port (1080) without transmitting any data. This results in the execution of report.exe, which in turn consumes all available processing power. The vulnerability does not require any authentication or specific inputs, making it a potential threat to systems running NukeNabber. To mitigate this issue, it is recommended to block incoming connections on port 1080 or disable the NukeNabber service altogether.
