Summary
CVE-1999-1230 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Quake 2 servers. Maliciously crafted UDP packets with a source address of 127.0.0.1 can cause the server to attempt to connect to itself, leading to a service disruption. This issue may result in unavailability of the Quake 2 server for legitimate users. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability to cause inconvenience or disrupt gameplay.
