Summary

CVE-1999-1228 is a vulnerability affecting various modems that fail to implement a guard time or have a guard time set to 0. This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary modem commands, such as ATH and ATH0, by injecting a "+++" sequence into ICMP packets, emails, or IRC commands. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized access or control of the affected modem.
