Summary
CVE-1999-1209 is a significant vulnerability affecting scoterm in SCO OpenServer 5.0 and SCO Open Desktop/Open Server 3.0. This issue permits local users to elevate their privileges to root level, granting them unrestricted access to the system. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the scoterm service, potentially leading to serious security consequences.
