Summary

CVE-1999-1100: A vulnerability affecting Cisco PIX Private Link 4.1.6 and earlier versions allows an attacker to reduce the effective key length of DES encryption from 56 bits to 48 bits. This weakness stems from improper processing of specific commands in the configuration file. The consequence is that an attacker can more easily execute brute force attacks to discover the correct key.
