Summary
CVE-1999-1046 denotes a buffer overflow vulnerability in IMonitor of IMail 5.0. This issue allows remote attackers to trigger a denial of service by sending an excessively long string to port 8181. Moreover, there's a potential for arbitrary command execution if the attacker successfully exploits this flaw. Consequently, this vulnerability poses a significant security risk for systems running the affected version of IMail.
